Moism

by Gina and Tracey

Here are three beliefs that the Moists had. First, the Moists believed that everyone was equal. To show this we used a scale. Second, the Moists questioned authority. We show this by drawing a scholar, a question mark, and a dragon representing royalty. Finally, the Moists believed in universal love. To show love we used people holding hands all over the world. Those are three beliefs the Moists had.

Here are three things I have chosen to tell about the Moists. First of all, the Moists thought that everyone in the world was good, and did not need to be punished. Next, they didn't want to be racist, they wanted people to be equal with each other. Finally, the Moists wanted the world to be peaceful. So they said everyone needed to treat each other with respect.

These are three facts that were important to the Moists. First, Moists believed that universal love was important. They thought that everyone should love each other, unlike the Confucianists' five basic relationships. That's why, on our banner, we put people holding hands around the world. Next, they believed that peace was very important. They thought that people should live in peace with each other. That's why, on our banner, we put two emperors bowing to each other. Last, they believed in equality. They thought that all people of all levels of society should be treated with respect. That is why we put an equal sign for equality, with all different colors around it on our banner. We think the Moists were very nice people, and out of the Confucianists, Moists, and Daoists, we would want to be Moists.

Here are three things about the Moists. First, they believed in universal love -- like a kiss on the planet Earth. Next, they wanted world peace -- like a piece of the Earth falling off. (Elliot was just kidding!) Last, they thought people are naturally good, like Adam and Eve. If Adam hadn't eaten the apple, then people wouldn't sin.
