DoE Curriculum Unit: The Gods and the Heroes of the Odyssey

This unit will focus on the hero and mythology of the Odyssey through visual and literary media. I want to include a variety of artistic means for students to demonstrate mastery via LS and MI. I have asked both an Art teacher and Steve Esposito from Boston University to either plan and develop lessons with me and/ to lecture students on the Greek alphabet, for example. I want students to understand the role of the hero and the machinations of the gods in Classical Mythology based on the Odyssey using an integration of the arts.
